What to include in your draft: Multiple Paragraphs that explore the research you have found related to your research question Each paragraph needs to contain the following: A topic sentence – Begin each paragraph with a topic sentence that illustrates the main purpose/direction of that paragraph. Needs to tie back into the thesis statement and overall focus of your essay 2-3 quotes from separate sources that support your claims.
Introduce each quote with a signal phrase (Ex: The author states, OR As mentioned in the article). Include your own analysis and explanation after each quote that demonstrate what the quote means and how it supports/relates to your claims.
Transition sentences – Wrap up one paragraph and lead seamlessly into the next.
A minimum of 5 sources need to be included in the Literature Review
