Is This Schedule Right for These Children?

Scenario

You (student teacher) are working in the “Terrific Two’s” classroom. It is a lot of fun, but you are concern about the schedule. Once everyone arrives, it seems that the children are rushed through the play period and clean-up in order to get to the circle group time “on-time”. These whole group circle times tend to last up to 30 minutes, with many reminders, interruptions and wiggling/ bored children. You will be doing circle time soon and dread it. What should you do?
