Athletes who participate in sports, such as jiu-jitsu and judo, have been underrepresented when it comes to head injuries or traumatic brain injuries. Most of the spotlight and focus of brain injury research has been focused on major sports like American football, football (soccer), and boxing.
Please write the essay in a persuasive format in the style of a “statement of the problem” as to why there needs to be more research on head injuries within the population of jiu-jitsu and judo athletes. Though the risk may be minimal, it is still not risk-free.
