What would be the ideal research topic in English, please elaborate in a research paper?1. Questions of identity, including gender identity, frequently emerge as important in children’s literature. Some books question and even challenge the validity of socially assigned gender roles. Compare the extent to which traditional femininity is enforced and the extent to which it is critiqued in two course texts studied this term.
This essay builds on your own insights and comparisons between the course’s primary texts and research, but your completed assignment MUST draw on at least two scholarly articles/book chapters in addition to providing a comparative analysis and argument. The essay must use MLA formatting, and you must examine course texts studied in the Winter term. Essays that do not address the primary texts, and essays that do not use scholarly literary research will not receive a passing grade.
