What impact does a highly effective principal, focused on equity, have on student outcomes?
A principal in the 75th percentile of effectiveness yields nearly four months of additional learning for students, according to the Wallace Report. That direct impact on student achievement happens when principals are instructionally focused, establish a productive climate, build collaboration and professional learning communities, and manage resources strategically. Additionally, effective principals embed equity into their practice.
