STAGE ONE STEPS:
Choose a leader from a public agency for the paper.
Do NOT choose a politician, but rather a public manager. (I chose FBI Director Christopher Wray)
STAGE TWO STEPS:
Describe the agency that the public manager is responsible for in the first part of the paper.
Then provide background and history of the leader you are studying.

STAGE THREE STEPS:

Focus on a particular crisis or problem for the leader. I chose: (During his tenure as the Director of the FBI, Christopher Wray faced various challenges, but one significant problem he focused on was addressing cybersecurity threats and the increasing
complexity of cybercrime.)

STAGE FOUR STEPS:
Describe the problem you have chosen facing the leader and agency.
Then discuss how the leader handled the problem.

STAGE FIVE STEPS:

Explain the type of leadership you think the leader displayed using concepts from Northouse.
(You can include more than one type of leadership approach to carry out your analysis.) Explain the strengths and weaknesses of his/her approach to leadership.
How does the person’s leadership approach account for success or failure in handling the crisis?

Requirements:
The paper must be a minimum of 10 pages, lines are to be double spaced and words should
appear in 12 point Times New Roman font. Your paper should be appropriately cited throughout
using APA format. Pay close attention to grammar, spelling and usage.
