INSTRUCTIONS
Purpose
This critical consciousness reflection will assist the learner to:
Integrate course concepts and topics with previous knowledge and experience.
Connect course learning and concepts with personal development, increased self-awareness and critical consciousness.
Identify applications for course content in professional practice and relationships.
Assist the learner to reflect on topics they may use for their Final Project.

STEP 1: Review
A reflection is more than just a description, it involves an exploration and explanation of an experience. It begins with a short description of the experience, with the bulk of the discussion exploring your interpretation of what is most important, useful, and relevant about the experience. It should explain what was new or insightful to you about what you learned, and what it means both personally and professionally. Reflection begins with a review of what you have learned during class discussions and activities, weekly assigned articles (posted in Blackboard), and additional class resources.

STEP 2: Reflection
Create a Word document and save the document as “Lastname_ CCR 1”.
Write a reflection of at least 500 words about your learning and personal growth this week. This reflection should integrate weekly course concepts and topics, explore their meaning, and connect it with your development of self-awareness, critical consciousness, and personal growth.

Briefly describe key points of learning related to this week’s topics/concepts (see Session Learning Objectives for specifics).
Why are these concepts and topics important?
What concept/topic sparked your interest and why?
How have you grown in awareness of your cultural identity, assumptions, perspectives, ways of knowing, thinking patterns, etc.?
In what specific ways will you use what you learned this week in your interactions with others and/or in your future professional practice?
