In your Con Essay, you will review arguments on the opposing side of the issue; that is, you will discuss all the arguments that support the “no” answer to the research question. THIS IS NOT AN ARGUMENTATIVE ESSAY. Simply describe at least three arguments (reasons) why people support this side. These reasons should come from your research. Support these reasons with evidence from the literature. You should format this as a standard academic essay, with an introduction (including a thesis statement and plan of development), body, and conclusion. Your essay must be formatted in APA style (7th edition). Include in-text citations and full citations on the References page. You should include at least 5 paragraphs and a minimum word count of 900 words (approximately 3 pages).
Start with the introduction that clearly states the thesis and plan of development (POD). State the thesis and POD in your introduction. End with a conclusion that restates the thesis.
Your essay should contain about 900 words (3 pages plus the title page and references page).
Type your essay in a Microsoft Word document.
Proofread your essay before you submit it.
Format your paper in APA style (7th edition):
Insert a title page.
On the title page, under the due date of the assignment, include your AI Use Statement. Type AI Use Statement in bold font as a heading. Disclose any AI, including grammar and spell check programs, plagiarism checkers, summary generators, etc., you may have used to aid your writing. If you did not use any, state that fact under the heading. If your writing is found to have utilized AI you did not disclose, you will receive a 0 for the assignment. If you submit an assignment without the AI Use Statement, you will receive an automatic 0 with an option to resubmit before I grade the assignment. The use of AI to generate content and text is not allowed for this assignment.
Double-space everywhere but do not insert extra spaces.
Use the APA sample paper in your handbook to make sure you correctly formatted your paper. Do NOT include an abstract and subtitles (headings).
