For this assignment, chose 5 of the skills from the MI strategies and Techniques handout to demonstrate. You can make this a follow-up appointment from your last video. You can choose any 5 of the skills we reviewed in class to demonstrate in the role play.
Watch your video and create a document where you identify the skills you used.
Example – I demonstrated the skill of paraphrasing when I said “So, if I am hearing you correctly, you are feeling like your new classes are more difficult than you expected and you find Canvas difficult to navigate.”
On that same document, critique yourself on how you think you did with the skills and what, if anything , you need to improve on.
“Last video was about: You are an admission social worker at an assisted living facility and the client is struggling with their decision to admit their parent to the facility. This will be a follow up video and I just need a script it only needs to be 5 minutes long from client to social worker.
