What role do factors like race, age and financial status play in shaping these narratives?

Task instructions are below. I’m completing a Master of Communication. My chosen field is on domestic violence in Australia. It’s important because male violence is rising, killing one Australian woman every four days. Toxic male attitudes are prevalent in media, online and schools and this is correlating to violence against women. My research questions are:1. How does the representation of domestic violence crimes against women in Australian media in the last five years vary based on geographical location and social class? 2. What role do factors like race, age and financial status play in shaping these narratives? The citations need to be in APA. Please read and use the attached scholarly articles I’ve collated for this paper that need critically reviewed as a literature review. They were sourced through CSU Journal Databases, SAGE, Taylor and Francis, Rutledge and the books via library – details in attached screenshot to pull citations from. Please note in the future dissertation I plan to do a qualitative analysis study, gathering data through a content analysis of media articles, and scholarly peppers and build on this with the research methodology of grounded theory. Hence this can be addressed. My search process for obtaining articles was done via variety of academic sites using search words: male violence, domestic violence in Australia, toxic male attitudes towards women, media bias on domestic violence, and victim framing in media. TASKYou will need to write a 2500-2700 word review of the scholarly literature on your selected research topic; with a critical, analytic tone leading to a research question. Your critical review of literature should include: 1. An introduction to your chosen field incorporating:A holistic argument for the importance of the chosen academic field and research topic/problem, informed by scholarly material.Definitions of the key concepts. An outline of the relevant contexts (e.g. theoretical, historical, geographical, political, etc.) 2. An outline of your literature search process including:Scholarly search approaches used (e.g. databases, Google Scholar, CSU Library, branching off bibliographies, etc.)Search words and phrases.(Optional) A reflective narrative on your literature search process. 3. A critical review of the existing body of research/scholarship on your chosen topic that synthesises the following elements:Theoretical perspectives (e.g. epistemological orientations, ontological orientations, theoretical frameworks specific to the field, etc.).Type of research/ methodology (i.e. qualitative, quantitative, mixed, etc.).Research aims and findings.Data collection and analysis. The strengths and weaknesses of the existing research on your chosen topic.Gaps, problems, tensions and/or opportunities within the existing research/ knowledge base that future research should address. 4. A concise summary of the gaps, problems, tensions and/or opportunities that would be addressed via your research question(s). 5. A clearly structured research question (including concepts, stakeholders & context as applicable to project type, purpose and discipline context) to inform the development of your research proposal in Assessment 2.
