Write a research paper reflecting on the social and cultural issues that have influenced their life experiences thus far. Your Signature Assignment provides an opportunity to interview an individual and reflect on the social and cultural factors that shape their life experiences thus far. This is essentially a cultural conceptualization of a person that will foster your understanding of how intersecting identities and the fundamental principles of social psychology shape individual’s lives and how they interact with the world around them. The paper is comprised of 2 sections and should (excluding cover page and reference page) and should be written with proper headers and margins, and Times New Roman and size 12 font.
The sections of this paper should include:

Section 1: Demographic factors (Part 1: Intake Interview)
In this section, you will describe the peer’s socio-demographic factors such as race, ethnicity, immigration status/history, age, gender orientation, sexual orientation, religion, educational status, social class, etc. You will also describe the norms, behaviors, and values this peer has developed based on each of these socio-demographic factors. You may also include the peer’s experience of being a member of each of these cultural groups. You may also include any major life events that have impacted this peer, based on all or any one of their socio-cultural identities.
Section 2: Application of Social Psychology (Part 2: Application of Social Psychology)
In this section, you will discuss the peer’s socio-demographic factors in terms of how they are appraised by the general public. This may include negative and positive stereotypes about group membership and how the group is portrayed in the media and arts. This section should also include your honest reactions/reflections to each of this peer’s socio-cultural identities. In this section, you should include any major events, if any, that has impacted your view of this peer’s identity(ies). You will use this section to synthesize your knowledge of Social Psychology and the intersectionality with counseling.
