Write a research paper that goes into further detail about Cruel and Unusual Punishment (see Estelle v. Gamble, 429 U.S. 97 (1976)). Roper v. Simmons, 543 U.S. 551 (2005); Hudson v. McMillian, 503 U.S. 1 (1992).

The paper should be approx. 12 to 15 pages double spaced, drawing on knowledge learned and applying critical thinking.
The topic should be on or related to the topics that you have been assigned readings on and we covered during the course of this semester.

Please also create an extra word document and create an outline of the paper you intend to write. half a page to one page in length. Essentially you can opt for the approach that you finds best suits the objective you have envisioned for your paper.

Therefore you can choose from these options:
1)The paper can advocate for one position by making the case for that position through the arguments you present and the supporting data you cite to make that argument
2) The paper could be prepared and presented in a narrative form. For example if you are focusing on a major event or say a particular U.S. Supreme Court case, then you should examine what led to the court reviewing that case and the impact it has had on society as a consequence of said decision. Alternatively it could be a narrative about an epoch or major event with major legal constitutional implications. For example, the suffrage movement, which led to the right of women to vote in State and Federal elections.
